Whether guiding complex land development or working quietly in her studio, she lives at the intersection of structure and creativity — transforming wood into dimensional artwork.
Inspired by a photograph taken near Gallagher Lake on the way to Oliver, this piece brings a wildflower to life through sculpted petals, colour and weathered wood.
While drying, this piece was blown over by the wind, landing face down. The unexpected mishap inspired its name, After the Storm. Sculpted flowers and the rich colours and textures of weathered wood give this artwork its character and a story of its own.
My first venture into mixed-media artwork, combining sculpted wood with Southwestern-inspired designs and the rustic character of weathered wood.
